Monday 28th August – bike **** Around Felixstowe including lunch by the River Deben – Sunny periods.

Actually, a nice day for weather considering it is a Bank Holiday Monday, we do our best to avoid the crowds by having a usual morning at home, exercises in the sun for me, gardening for Mag. Then I pack a picnic and we head out on our bikes heading inland away from the busy coast, we do the whole length of Gulpher Road, nice and quiet with some amazing clouds, just love a Big Suffolk sky:) We whizz down Marsh Lane, past the derelict house and up onto the River Deben sea wall path, turning right and bump our way to Felixstowe Ferry. I have a quick look at the jetty while Mag heads straight to the picnic spot. The harbour master had just left with a boat full of sightseers, heading right to the river mouth, I get some nice pics of him by the shingle banks:) I join Mag for lunch with the sea like a mill pool and the amazing clouds, couldn’t believe how quiet it was, just lovely:) With the tide low and whizzing out there was no boat action just a canoe and a couple of paddle boarders. We then carry on slowly by the golf course to The Dip, I continue around to the Fludyers while Mag goes through the back streets avoiding the crowds, I should have joined her as the prom was heaving!
